Play a Song
Pick a song, follow its chart, and play along with the metronome.
TIP
Focus on rhythm and follow the strumming pattern. If the tempo is too fast, lower the BPM until it flows.
How to play it
Applying your technique to real music is the most important step. Playing a song from start to finish trains your ear, muscle memory, and sense of timing all at once.
- Choose a song from the list. Start with ones you already know well.
- Read the full chart before playing, to get a sense of the structure.
- Turn on the metronome at the song's BPM and practice one section at a time.
- Follow the strumming pattern shown. If you get lost, restart from the top of that section.
- Once each section feels solid on its own, play the song from start to finish.
